Sunny Spring

This lush landscape under a sunny blue sky is the setting for the historic Noble House in Fish Creek. 16x20". Oil painting by Karsten. $1,500.

Sunflowers

Dazzling Sunflowers catch the rays of the late summer sun. Rich golds, cheery yellows and rusty oranges brightly contrast with the greenery. A floral bouquet specially painted for those who come to savor the last days of summer in Door County.  Oil by Karsten. 18 x 22". $1,150.

Waiting (to Give You a Ride through Ephraim)

There's no better way to see the sights than taking an old fashioned horse 'n' buggy ride through historic Ephraim. Hop up, sit back, relax and listen to the clip-clop as you tour this quaint and cozy Door County town. Oil by Karsten. 12 x 16". $1,260. By the way, Ephraim is also the home of the Hanseatic Art Gallery.

English Country Fantasy

This painting was Karsten's birthday present to his son, Lars.

With great glee--and a bit of craftiness--Karsten created a puzzle painting and hid the family's names throughout the scene.

Upon close inspection, you'll see that Lars is spelled out in the windows of the ruin while his wife's name, Monique, is in the castle window. The flag bears an "M". Their sons' names are also hidden: Karsten is painted in the white fence while Finn is the owner of the inn. The path in front of the inn is in the shape of a "T" for Topelmann. Last, but certainly not least, the smoke from the left chimney forms a heart. Oil. 24 x 36.
